Dr. John W. Samon and his wife Kristi are native Austinites. Their families have lived in
Austin since the early 1900’s, and many of them still live here today. John and Kristi have two children; John IV and Evan. The family cares for their 3 dogs; Sissy, Ally, and Katie Belle, and their cat; Shadow. They live in and enjoy the south
Austin community. Dr. Samon received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science in 1992, Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science in 1994, and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (Cum Laude) from Texas A&M in 1997. His special interests include surgery, geriatric care and pain management. Dr. Samon is a lifetime member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Steven Reynolds has been in
Austin for over 20 years. He graduated from Texas A&M and has been practicing veterinary medicine for 32 years. Steve began gardening and growing plants 12 years ago. He gives lectures on various gardening topics and is a Bromeliad Society International accredited show judge. He lives on one acre with his gardening helper, Abby, a Rottweiler, Shakira, an orange tabby and Pretty Boy, a cockatiel. Steve has special veterinary interest in dental procedures and oral health for dogs and cats. Dr. Reynolds works at the hospital Thursdays, Fridays, and some Saturdays. Dr. Reynolds has been a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association for 32 years.

Dr. Christine McCoy is originally from Sugar Land, Texas but now considers Austin home. She lives in south Austin with her mixed breed dog Aliza and enjoys dance, cooking and obedience training. Dr. McCoy received her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Her special interests include cardiology, wound care and feline medicine.
